it’s funny watch­ing that old footage, but sound is still explained in much the same way to stu­dents. except when i taught acoustics i used a slinky which was awe­some because if you put your ear up to it whilst wav­ing it you get to hear a sound sim­i­lar to a light saber.… which always made me gig­gle. the stu­dents, not so much.
